Course Description

his unit describes the skills and knowledge required to work with basic information about the human body and to recognise and promote ways to maintain healthy functioning of the body.   This unit applies to any worker who needs to use and interpret information that includes references to client anatomy and physiology.

Overview of Assessment

 

Students are given two (2) attempts for each assessment to demonstrate the required skills. A third (3rd) attempt can only be offered after discussions between teacher and the Program Coordinator and is not automatic. Resubmissions beyond two (2) attempts are at the discretion of the teacher and/or coordinator.

AT3 -CLASS Simulation- Slide Sheet and Falls Recovery 

AT4 - CLASS Simulation- Personal hygiene assistance

AT5- CLASS Simulation- Bed bathing

AT6 - WORKPLACE - Third party Supervisor Report

Students will have access to a marking rubric for reference at the time assessment tasks are distributed.

Attendance

Applying for an Extension
Extension of time for assessment tasks may be granted where circumstances beyond your control prevent submission by the published due date. Speak with your teacher or course coordinator regarding applying for an extension.
