RMIT is in the process of negotiating new enterprise agreements – a legal document that outlines the terms and conditions of employment between employer and employees.

Last updated: 1pm Tuesday 20 February 2024

RMIT has reached the conclusion of bargaining for a replacement to the RMIT Vocational Education Workplace Agreement 2019 and has decided to give our VE teaching employees the opportunity to consider the updated proposal by way of a formal vote in March (12 March to 16 March).

The three-year sector leading agreement contains significant benefits for our VE teaching community.

What does this mean for students?

While we don’t expect any disruptions to your classes, in the lead up to the vote period in March you may see an increased presence of Union activity across campus.

We will continue to keep you updated if there is any protected industrial action and potential impacts to your classes.
