Course Description
This course introduces the skills and knowledge required to follow WHS policies and procedures in the entertainment and media industries.

Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this unit, you will be able to:
- Comply with WHS regulations and federal, state or territory legislation requirements for workplace operations, including duty of care
- Comply with WHS communication processes, information and documentation procedures
- Demonstrate an understanding of the role of OHS committees and representatives, the meaning of common safety signs and symbols, and procedures for reporting hazards, incidents and injuries
- Communicate and work safely with others
- Follow general procedures for responding to incidents and emergencies, including evacuation, first aid, fire safety equipment and PPE
- Explain the consequences of non-compliance with WHS policies and procedures.
Details of Learning Activities
In class activities will include a range of teacher directed group activities, projects, class exercises, review discussions/lectures and independent project based work.
Out-of-class activities include completion of individual design and pre-production work, preparation for class presentations and location excursions/production work. Online research and occasional outside of class time group discussions will be required to maintain project work.

his course you will need to complete the following assignments to a satisfactory standard. You will receive feedback on all assignments and once you have demonstrated competency you will also receive a result after your final assignment.

- Safety1of2: Implement Safety procedures for your 'Picture Me' production. Due weeks 6, 7, 8 Semester 1
- Safety2of2: Complete Safety Knowledge and associated quiz questions. Due by 21 May 2021.
