Course Description
In this course you will develop the skills and knowledge required to do high resolution conform and colour grading of moving images. This involves interpreting briefs and preparing assets for colour grading, before completing primary and secondary colour grading.
The course applies to those who work in television and digital cinema, and use and manipulate colour to create the overall look and colour of the final product. Colourists work with directors, producers, post-production supervisors, editors, audio post-production and technical staff.

On the successful completion of this course you will have the skills & knowledge required to colour grade sequences using techniques including:

- colour channel balancing
- shot matching
- masking

Details of Learning Activities
In class activities will include a range of teacher directed group activities, projects, class exercises, review discussions/lectures and independent project based work.
Out-of-class activities include completion of individual design and pre-production work, preparation for class presentations and location excursions/production work. Online research and occasional outside of class time group discussions will be required to maintain project work.
