Course Description

In this course you will learn the skills and develop knowledge required to implement and monitor work health and safety (WHS) policies, procedures and work practices as part of a small work team.

Overview of Assessment

Assessment for this course is ongoing throughout the semester. Your knowledge and understanding of course content is assessed through participation in class exercises, oral presentations, and through the application of learned skills and insights to your written tasks. Full assessment briefs will be provided and can be found on CANVAS.


Assessment Tasks

Students enrolled in Vocational Education and Training qualifications are assessed for Competency. To be assessed as Competent means you have consistently demonstrated the required knowledge and skills at a standard expected in the workplace.   

To be assessed as Competent in this course, you will need to complete each assessment task to a satisfactory standard. You will receive feedback from the teacher at the conclusion of each assessment task.

Assessment Task 1:AT1 Knowledge Assessment 

This is a 19-question assessment, that is completed in the students own time.

Assessment Task 2: AT2 Practical Risk Assessment 

You will conduct a risk assessment of the simulated dental clinic at RMIT

Assessment Task 3: AT33 WHS Logbook  
You will complete the following parts to this assessment in your dental practice.
