Course Description

In this course you will be required to manage your own work priorities and professional development. Particular emphasis is on setting and meeting priorities, analysing information and using a range of strategies to develop further your skills and knowledge in the photo imaging industry.

Details of Learning Activities

In this course you will be required to manage your own work priorities and professional development in relation to the group project that we will be working on together - delivering the exhibition.  Emphasis is on setting and meeting priorities, analysing information and using a range of strategies to develop further your skills and knowledge in the photo imaging industry.

This course will be delivered in blended mode and will incorporate guest presentations/excursions and meetings.

A range of written and oral assessment tasks will be used to cover the skills and knowledge required to manage your own performance and professional development priorities.


Assessment Tasks

A01 - Project Plan

You will work together as a team to determine the scope of the Exhibition Project and determine roles and responsibilities to ensure that deliverables are met.

A02 Personal Profile Development – Catalogue content

As an emerging photographer (graduate), developing your profile is an important aspect of personal development. For this assignment, you will create/supply your EOY exhibition catalogue content (Artist statement/Bio, Hero Image, contact details + head shot).

These activities will help prepare you for end of year exhibition while also giving you the skills for future personal development/networking etc.

A03 Professional Development - Developing a Presence

This assessment 3 for Manage Personal Work Priorities + Professional Development – Photography competition entry + Social Media presence. As an emerging photographer (graduate), developing your profile is an important aspect of personal development. These activities will be on-going and others will prepare you for end of year exhibition.

A04 Feed Forward

This assessment 4 will require your attendance at our AGM where we will conclude the activity for the Project and offer recommendations to the Diploma Class of 2021.  This activity and subsequent report will ensure that you are able to finalise and review your involvement in the planning, promotion and presentation of the Exhibition Project.
