Course Description
In this course you will cover the skills and knowledge required to use techniques for image processing. It is a specialisation unit and refers to specific equipment and techniques used for making photo work-print images.
Current photoimaging industry practice relies increasingly on digital imaging processes and this is reflected in the training and assessment of this unit.

Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this unit, you will be able to produce a folio of printed work to a high standard consistent with industry practice. The production of this folio will incorporate the development of proof sheets, digital files and work prints which demonstrate the application of selected and core techniques.

Overview of Assessment
Assessment tasks include:
- review and feedback sessions
- demonstration and various applications of imaging processing techniques
- production of proof sheets and print tests
- demonstration of a structured workflow process
- processing and development of digital files to produce prints using a variety of output mediums chromogenic and inkjet.
Assessment Tasks
Students enrolled in Vocational Education and Training qualifications are assessed for Competency. To be assessed as Competent means you have consistently demonstrated the required knowledge and skills at a standard required in the workplace.
To be assessed as Competent in this course, you will need to complete each assessment task to a satisfactory standard. You will receive feedback from the teacher at the conclusion of each assessment task.
