Academic Conduct Report for VLAB

If you have completed a Priestley subject at RMIT we will issue an Academic Conduct Report to support your application for admission as an Australian Lawyer.

Content of the Academic Conduct Report

An Academic Conduct Report covers all your studies at RMIT and is comprised of:

  • a letter advising whether there are any records or reports of concerning behaviours during your enrolment at RMIT, and
  • your transcript (for all enrolments).

The report is emailed to the Victorian Legal Admissions Board (VLAB).

How long does it take for an Academic Conduct Report to be issued?

Please allow at least three weeks (excluding University holidays) for us to submit your report. Your report will take up to three weeks from the date your request is complete —we will issue it earlier if possible.

Please also note the following information which may impact your decision when to request your report:

  • Please ensure all RMIT course results (and credit) have been finalised and published.
  • We close for approximately two weeks at Christmas-New Year and one week at Easter (March/April).
  • Deadlines published on the Victorian Legal Admissions Board's Admission calendar.
  • The Legal Profession Uniform Admission Rules 2015, clause 19 (2), state that the report must be prepared within 6 months before the application is made.
  • RMIT will provide you with one free Academic Conduct Report.

Submitting your request

Email your request to arg.academicconductreport@rmit.edu.au via an address registered with RMIT for enrolment or graduation purposes. This could be your RMIT student email address (if you still have access) or a registered personal email address.

If you no longer have access to any email address registered with RMIT, please advise in your request and we will discuss alternative arrangements.

Information to be included in your request:

1. RMIT Student ID number

2. Personal details to confirm your identity against our records:

  • Name under which you were enrolled.
  • Date of birth.

Before submitting, please check that this information will match the information you provided when you studied with RMIT. If you have changed your name since studying with RMIT, please note that your report will be issued in the name under which you were enrolled.

3. Contact number

Please provide your business hours contact number in case of any queries.

4. Confirmation that you authorise RMIT University to release the Academic Conduct Report.
