To have either your resume or cover letter reviewed at the Job Shop you must have attended one of the weekly Resume or Cover Letter workshops.

The Job Shop is your one-stop-shop for every thing careers related; workshops, resume reviews, job searching advice, jobs on campus and more!
If you want help with finding a job, updating your resume, writing a cover letter or gaining experience in your industry the Job Shop can help you. Ask the Job Shop staff and they will accommodate your job hunting needs.
The Job Shop is a free service offered to all RMIT students while they are studying and six months after they graduate.
The Job Shop staff are students, just like you, who have been trained in careers skills. They understand the conflicting pressures you experience in gaining employment while studying and know the best ways to address this.
To get you resume reviewed at the Job Shop book in to an Hour of Power Resume Review session, held weekly, or drop-by when there are no workshops running and talk to our friendly staff about your resume.

To build your employability while you’re studying, complete RMIT Creds to develop your personal and professional skills and capabilities. RMIT Creds are available to all current RMIT students

The Job Shop can help all students in identifying where to look for jobs and how to apply for them. Whether you are looking for a role once you graduate or casual work while you’re studying the Job Shop staff will help you find what you need.
The first step is to join the Jobs on Campus program! From there you can check what roles are currently being advertised on campus and apply online. 

First make a list of the things you aren't enjoying. Then, make an appointment with a Career Counsellor who can discuss your concerns and provide advice on changing your course. Book a Career Counsellor appointment.

 

If you’re wanting to apply for jobs that require experience consider improving your resume through volunteering, casual work, internships and the RMIT Creds. The Job Shop staff can help you in finding volunteer, internship and work opportunities relevant to the type of job you wish to apply to.
The Job Shop can help you in locating graduate programs with applications still open, graduate programs with mid-year intakes and full-time positions in your industry relevant to your experience. Further, they can help you in identifying the graduate programs you’re most interested in and finding information on the next graduate intake application period so you’re prepared if you wish to apply the following year.
