The AI Student Advisory Board (AISAB) is a standing group of RMIT students who provide feedback, ideas and advice on the adoption of generative AI and related technologies across learning, teaching and the student experience.
The Board is supported by RMIT’s Generative AI Lab for Education (GAILE) and the RAIsE Hub and operates in an advisory capacity. The Board does not make final decisions, but their insights will help shape directions.
Members are current students at RMIT from across vocational education, undergraduate, and graduate programs. Recruitment aims to ensure wide representation of the student body, considering individual students' engagement with relevant AI tools and systems, digital capability, or interdisciplinary learning initiatives across the university.
Consideration also given to including students from varied demographic backgrounds, particularly those from backgrounds not often represented in, or traditionally underserved by, higher education.

Together we will:
In collaboration with students, staff, industry and government, GAILE fast-tracks initiatives from concept to implementation with clarity and pace. We’re not just responding to AI, we’re building a community to shape it, always asking how it amplifies human expertise and enriches student learning.
