Apply for a Semester 2 scholarship now!

Scholarship applications are now open for RMIT students to help them achieve their study goals. Hear how scholarships have helped our students throughout their studies.

Scholarship applications for RMIT students are open until Monday 13 June and are available to domestic students with a range of circumstances to support your personal or academic success.

Scholarships have been critical in providing students with the resources needed to be successful in their studies.

Bachelor of Communication (Media) student Jasper Cohen-Hunter is a recipient of the RMIT Indigenous Accommodation Scholarship, for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students who can demonstrate financial and/or educational disadvantage.

Jasper said having a secure for of support from RMIT throughout a period of uncertainty and job insecurity was the most helpful.

“Job insecurity is rife within my age bracket, but with the support of the scholarship I was able to get by between times of unemployment.”

Jasper said he was thrilled to receive the scholarship as it covered subscription services for software needed throughout his degree, as well as complex media production equipment.

“I was excited when I found out that I received the scholarship,” he said.

“The monthly scholarship payments allowed me to purchase complex and expensive equipment needed in my degree.”

Diploma of Nursing student Emma Windle is a recipient of the RMIT Indigenous Study Support Scholarship and the RMIT Equity Notebook Grant.

Emma said the biggest benefit of her scholarship was having the freedom to focus on her degree.

“I felt a huge amount of relief when I received my scholarship,” she said.

“Being able to buy what I required for University, and not have to worry how I would afford it.”

“Also, not having to work extra shifts and being able to concentrate on learning and completing assessments.”
