CoDesign4Transitions: Call for applications now open

CoDesign4Transitions is offering 13 PhD positions at the intersection of co-design, design for sustainability, service and systems design, democratic innovation, and climate transitions.

The call for applications for CoDesign4Transitions (The Sustainable Transitions through Democratic Design Doctoral Network) is now open. 

Two positions are supervised by Laurene Vaughan from RMIT’s School of Design with co-supervision provided by Elisava Barcelona School of Design and Engineering:
Project 3: Investigating and amplifying practices for circular design: https://codesign4transitions.eu/position/DC3/

Project 4: Prototyping policy options in spaces for experimentation and learning for urban climate transitions: https://codesign4transitions.eu/position/DC4/

Successful applicants will be ready to start their projects by September 2024 and will be part of a unique doctoral training program offering:

  • Excellent employment conditions at one of eight recruiting partners
  • Two secondments, including one in another country 
  • Extensive and varied engagement and training across a network of universities and non-academic partners in seven countries

The call for applications is open until 26 February 2024 (23.59 Central European Time). Applicants must apply through the online portal accessible via the project website: https://codesign4transitions.eu. Applications are welcome from excellent students and researchers of any age, nationality and gender, early in their career. Applicants must fulfil all the minimum eligibility criteria at the date of the call deadline.
