Career support for Indigenous students

The Ngarara Willim Centre offers career and employment support to Indigenous students throughout their study and following graduation.

The Ngarara Willim Centre is dedicated to supporting student into meaningful employment opportunities – whether that’s full-time, part-time or casual work, placements, graduate programs, internships or cadetships.

We provide a culturally safe space to yarn about your goals, build confidence and connect with industry, so you can step into the right career opportunity for you.

How we can help

We’ll connect with you throughout your study at RMIT to discuss and help you achieve your career goals. That might include:

  • One-on-one chats about career options and planning
  • Help writing resumes, cover letters and selection statements
  • Help with your LinkedIn profile
  • Mock interviews
  • Introductions to employers, traineeships, cadetships and casual roles

The Ngarara Willim Centre holds an annual Indigenous Careers Fair. The fair provides students and community with an opportunity to connect with industry partners, Indigenous community organisations, current students, alumni and staff. We encourage you to attend this event. For more information, email ngararawillim.careers@rmit.edu.au.
