This page outlines higher education courses offered in Spring 2026, Summer 2027 and Flexible terms for the College of Business and Law and the College of Vocation Education.

Courses offered in the Spring, Summer and Flexible terms are taught over a shorter period than the standard 12-week semester. To manage your workload, we recommend students enrol in a maximum of two courses in any/each of these terms.

College of Business and Law courses

Spring 2026 Semester (2680)
  • Enrolment period: 1 September - 23 November 2026
  • Term dates: 16 November 2026 - 19 February 2027
  • Census date:  7 December 2026
  • Last day to add classes: 23 November 2026
  • Last day to drop classes without academic penalty: 22 January 2027
  • Assessment period: 15-19 February 2027
  • Results release date: 26 February 2027
Flexible term (2602)
  • Enrolment period: Always open
  • Term dates: Term dates vary depending on course. See tables below.
  • Census date: The census dates for flexible terms vary depending on course. See tables below OR find the census date for each of your courses (subjects) listed in Enrolment Online

Please note:

  • Enrolments for all semesters/terms are first-in first-served and once a class is full, there is no guarantee that more spaces will be made available
  • If you are graduating and want to attend the Melbourne Graduation Ceremony in December, you need to complete all required courses by the end of Semester 2. If you are enrolled in Spring/Summer/Flexible term courses, you may not be eligible to attend that ceremony. Please consider this when planning your enrolment. Refer to Melbourne Graduation Ceremony for the ceremony key dates and deadlines.

To enrol in one of the below courses, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Enrolment Online
  2. Select the relevant semester (e.g. Flexible Term, Spring Semester or Summer Semester) in which the course is offered
  3. Use the ‘Class Search’ function to search for the class number listed below
  4. Add the course to your enrolment.

College of Vocational Education undergraduate courses

Important: Do not enrol into courses if you have already completed the 'Equivalent' course

Please do not enrol into courses if you have already completed the course listed in the ‘(Equivalent to)’ column. These courses are deemed equivalent for credit purposes and cannot be counted twice toward the same program. If you are unsure if you have completed the equivalent course, please seek advice and a program map by contacting the College of Business and Law or the College of Vocational Education before enrolling.

These courses are open to all students across the University, including Diploma of Commerce (DP020) and Associate Degree in Business (AD029). 

Diploma of Commerce DP020 and Associate Degree in Business AD029 students should select courses based on their Program Structure ONLY.

All College of VE Spring and Summer courses are offered online, but will offer some face-to-face drop in sessions.

  • Census date (Last day to withdraw without fee penalty): 16 November 2026 
  • Final assessment week: 7–11 December 2026 
  • Result release date: 1 January 2027
Summer 2027 Undergraduate Flexible Term (2702)
  • Enrolment period: 2 November 2026 – 3 January 2027 
  • Term dates: 4 January – 5 February 2027 (Summer) 
  • Census date (Last day to withdraw without fee penalty): 11 January 2027 
  • Final assessment week: 1-5 February 2027
  • Result release date: 19 February 2027
