Students explore their opportunities at Careers and Global Experiences Week

At last week's Careers and Global Experiences Week, over 2,600 students participated in 21 events including workshops, info sessions and two major fairs.

Last week, the RMIT's Industry and Global Experiences teams came together to deliver the Careers and Global Experiences Week, aimed at providing students with ample opportunities to kickstart their professional lives.

Over 2,600 students participated in 21 events organised throughout the week including workshops, info sessions and two major fairs. City campus was buzzing with excitement as students met with industry professionals, career experts and global partners.

The Careers Fair featured over 80 employers and gave students an opportunity to discover various industries, graduate roles and internships.

At the Global Experiences Fair students met with exchange partners from across the globe and explored the full range of global activities available overseas, as well as on campus and online.

To further support students' professional development, the Job Shop organised employability sessions that equipped attendees with essential skills and knowledge, boosting their confidence and increasing their chances of success in the job market.

These included, "Small Talk Mastery: Perfect Your Conversation Skills," a workshop attended by students who wanted to enhance their communication skills and build their confidence.

Students also took advantage of free professional headshots for LinkedIn to enhance their online presence.

The Careers and Global Experiences Week was a resounding success, with positive feedback pouring in from both students and the more than 100 industry and exchange partners who participated in various activities.

Students were not only excited about the opportunities presented to them, but also showed a genuine interest in learning from professionals and expanding their global perspectives.
