RMIT Active Hub is undergoing refurbishments from 12 September to late November 2025

Temporary location: Group fitness rooms, Building 8, Level 3

Hours: Monday–Friday: 7am–9pm, Saturday–Sunday: 9am–2pm

Active Hub refurbishment

Key information

Temporary training spaces will be available from 13 September to 20–21 November 2025 (dates subject to change based on construction progress).

Important closures: The Active Hub will be closed on 12 September 2025, and temporary training spaces will close on 20–21 November 2025 (TBC).

Temporary location: Group fitness rooms, Building 8, Level 3.

Entry: Please use the rear door via Swanston Street (signage will be available onsite).

Price: Members receive 25% off during the construction period.

Membership suspension: Free suspension is available during renovations and will not count toward your allocated 56 suspension days per year.

FAQs

The Active Hub will be closed on 12 September for equipment relocation. Renovation works officially begin on 14 September and are expected to last 8–10 weeks. Temporary training spaces will be available from 13 September. We'll keep members updated if timelines shift.

We're expanding the workout space and upgrading equipment to improve comfort, variety, and training options.

Yes! Gym facilities will be relocated to the two group fitness rooms within the Active Hub.

Gym and facilities

Our gym and facilities include:

  • Functional training zone with kettlebells, fitballs, plyo boxes and more
  • Cardio equipment 
  • Strength equipment including pin-loaded and free weights 
  • Stretch area
  • Change rooms and lockers
  • Space for use by RMIT clubs and societies

Student monthly membership ($49 per month, plus one-off $69 intro fee)
