Cyber safety means being secure online and adopting behaviours that reduce your exposure to possible cyber-attack. All students are responsible for doing their part to protect RMIT data, systems and personal information.

Cyber safety tips

Tip #1: Go to haveibeenpwned.com to check if your account or device has been breached, then register to get notified if your account or password is compromised.

Tip #2: Register for the Australian Cyber Security Centre’s Alert Service to find out about the latest online threats and safety advice.

Report a cyber safety issue at RMIT

Have you received a phishing scam to your RMIT email or clicked on a malicious link? Report it as soon as possible!  

  • Phishing emails: Forward the original phishing/scam email to reportphishing@rmit.edu.au
  • All other cyber safety issues:
