What's new

Refreshed interface

  • The interface is cleaner and more intuitive
  • Pop-up messages let you know when new features are released
  • Personas and AI models are now listed separately in the chat box for easy access
  • Suggested prompts are now shown at the bottom to help you get started quickly.

Web search

  • Web search is available directly through Val via the Val, Val Original, and Quizzical personas (more options coming soon). Use it to quickly find current, up-to-date information from the web, such as recent events, news, or topics that require the latest data, beyond what Val already knows.

New AI models

  • DeepSeek R1 (from Microsoft): Fast, direct answers and real-time interactions for instant responses
  • Meta Llama 4: Expanded context for longer conversations and comparison between Meta and OpenAI models
  • OpenAI GPT-5: Advanced reasoning for complex queries.

Create a private persona

  • Creating a Private Persona lets you customise your Val experience by testing features and building tailored AI models to fit your specific needs, making your use of generative AI more efficient and powerful. You can have up to five Private Personas at once and easily update or delete them as needed.

Share a private persona

  • Private AI personas can also be shared using a unique link, making collaboration simple. When sharing, you control access and set usage guidelines, with the option to add extra conditions to ensure your persona is used how you want.
