Join us for some fun on-campus entertainment and activities at your Program Induction days during Orientation Week (O Week)!

Whether you are a Vocational Education (VE) or a Higher Education (HE) student, there is something for everyone during Orientation Week (O Week).

Get the right info from our friendly staff, learn about clubs and societies on offer and meet student support services.

O Week Events

Visit the Orientation Drop In and Lounge, Monday 15 through to Thursday 18 July from 11am to 2pm in the Megaflex near Connect, building 8. The Drop In will consist of:

  • Orientation Information booth: get the right info from our friendly staff
  • Clubs Hub booth: learn more about the all the clubs and societies on offer
  • Meet Medibank and score some free merchandise, activities change each day from floral crown making to spinning bikes that blend your smoothies!
  • Guided campus tours, student led, every half hour
  • Complimentary donuts, activities and a chill lounge space 

Join Student Life activities to connect with peers, Speed Friending, Creative Tables, Cultural Tours, and dance classes to name a few. Collect some merch at the store, visit the student union RUSU and visit Connect for enrolment information. All located in building 8,10 and 12 along New Academic Street. 

Head to the courtyard outside building 202 and 210 on Monday 15 July 12pm to 2pm for your O Week event. The day will commence with a Welcome To Country and smoking ceremony at the entrance of building 210, followed by a DJ, roving performers and outdoor seating to enjoy your complimentary lunch provided by Vegilicious and on-site cafe.

The event will consist of:

  • Guided campus tours, student led, every half hour
  • A variety of clubs and societies
  • Student support services, Medibank and Student Life team for fun and informative workshops and stalls
  • Event Partners offering student benefits and giveaways
  • DJ spinning tunes and fun, hands on activities 

Head to building 514 and open courtyard on Tuesday 16 July 12pm to 2pm for your O Week event. The day will commence with a Welcome To Country and smoking ceremony at the entrance of building 514, followed by live music, roving performers and outdoor seating to enjoy your complimentary lunch provided by Vegilicious and on-site cafe.

The event will consist of:

  • Guided campus tours, student led, every half hour
  • A variety of clubs and societies
  • Student support services, Medibank and Student Life team for fun and informative workshops and stalls
  • Event Partners offering student benefits and giveaways
  • Live music and fun activities under the new M Pavilion

Visit the Orientation Drop In Wednesday 17 July from 11.30am to 1.30pm in building 78. The Drop In will consist of:

  • Orientation Information booth: get the right info from our friendly staff
  • Clubs Hub booth: learn more about the all the clubs and societies on offer
  • Meet the student support services for fun and informative workshops, and the student union RUSU to win a prizes
  • Complimentary coffee and donuts, DJ, games and a lounge area

Bowen Street Party

Thursday 18 July, 2-5pm

Bowen street will be a hive of activity with live music and DJ’s, silent disco, live artist installation, lawn games, sport activities, sponsor give aways, chill out area, cheap food deals and festival vibes! A perfect chance to make friends and soak up the campus atmosphere.
