Follow these steps and it’s done:

  1. Send your document to be printed (use myDesktop if you are printing from your own device)
  2. Go to a Ricoh multi-function device
  3. Register your card. Already registered? Go to step 4.
  4. Swipe your student card on the printer and print.

Please note: You can still print without your student card. Check out Printing without a Student Card.

When you print, you have 12 hours to collect it from a printer. Print jobs are automatically deleted from the print queue after this time.

Once you’re set up

You can print from any device, wherever you are.

Follow the Printing at RMIT myCommunity article to get printing.

Still need help? We put together steps for the two most popular devices, including how to change your print settings: See the following myCommunity articles to help you print from these devices.

*The default setting for all print jobs is black and white double sided, which maximises your printing balance, while being friendlier to the environment.

Printing from your personal device

We've recently implemented a new feature that allows you to print from your personal laptop, phone or tablet.  To take advantage of this great new feature, just connect your device to the RMIT wireless network and follow the instructions which are relevant to your device.

Topping up your print account

You’ll need a credit balance to use your student printing account.

See Topping Up Your Student Printing Account for more info.

At the start of every semester your school will provide you with a credit for printing and you can make further top-up payments as required.

Please contact the Service and Support Centre for any queries regarding your print balance.
