Since graduating in 2015 from the Federal University of Paraiba in Brazil with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons), I have been working as a registered physiotherapist with assessment and treatment of people with cardiorespiratory conditions in hospitals and outpatient services in private practices in both Australia and Brazil.
I also hold a Master of Science (Physical Education) completed at the Federal University of Paraiba in 2018 and a completed PhD in Physiotherapy at the University of South Australia (UniSA) in 2022.
My research experience focuses on investigating novel exercise modalities for improving the health and wellbeing of different populations, focusing on people cardiorespiratory conditions and their access to pulmonary rehabilitation.
Currently, I am working as a Lecturer in Physiotherapy at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University (RMIT). I am also an Adjucnt Lecturer at the University of South Australia.
