Here's a quick overview of the services available to students at RMIT.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students
The Ngarara Willim Centre is a place for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples where you are supported and encouraged throughout your studies. The centre offers ongoing guidance with study, living and cultural needs.
Equitable Learning Services
Equitable Learning Services (ELS) provides support and equal opportunities for students with a disability, long-term illness and/or mental health condition and primary carers of individuals with a disability ensuring that all students are included in all aspects of life at RMIT.
Support for international students
RMIT supports international students to meet the challenges of moving to a new country. We have many programs and services to help you to settle in and make the most of your time at RMIT, including Student Support Advisers who can help you find your way.
Study and learning support
RMIT has a Study and Learning Centre, student-led study mentoring programs and Learning Skills Advisors - all who are here to support and encourage you while you study. The RMIT Learning Lab has a wide range of online resources to help you improve your academic skills.
Job and career advice
The Careers and Employability Job Shop runs information sessions for students who are looking for work or are about to graduate. Also on offer for graduating students is a Career Health Check so you can ensure that your resume and interview skills are top-notch.
Support services
You can access childcare, counselling, information on staying healthy, financial advice and assistance in finding accommodation. The Student Legal Service is also available to currently enrolled RMIT students who need legal advice.
