Booking study rooms

Rooms can be reserved using the BookIt online booking system for a maximum of two hours per day, unless otherwise specified. There are no block or weekly bookings.
RMIT staff please note that the Library rooms are not available as general teaching or meeting spaces. Property Services offers rooms (login required) you can book for these purposes.

Rooms on offer

There are two group study rooms and a seminar room with seating for 20 people. The seminar room is primarily for Library workshops and for student bookings at other times during semester.

RMIT staff wishing to book the Library seminar room outside of semester periods should contact the Brunswick Library Manager.

Bundoora Library has eleven group study rooms divided between three floors. Two silent study rooms are located on Level 3.

The postgraduate room on Level 3 needs a key, which you can get from the service desk. Bookings are not required.

Swanston Library has 23 rooms for group study on Levels 5 and 6.

Note: A small number of rooms are reserved during the day and then made available after 6 pm.

Booking problems?

Get in touch with Library staff at the service desk or via Ask the Library if you need help with:

  • Making or canceling a booking
  • Re-allocating forfeited bookings
  • Extending booking times (subject to availability)

When using our rooms, please

  • Leave the room clean and tidy
  • If there is an emergency or emergency drill, you must leave the room immediately.
  • Take all your belongings when you finish and don’t leave anything unattended. We will not be responsible if your personal items go missing.
