All the reasons you should consider exchange to Vietnam

Thinking about going on exchange? With an easy application process, a range of classes to choose from, world-class facilities and the rest of Asia at your doorstep, studying in Vietnam could be the most exciting semester or two of your degree!

RMIT’s campuses in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City deliver classes across Business, Communication and Design, and Science, Engineering and Technology, with world-class facilities to support your studies.

Besides study, Vietnam is the gateway to Asia, with major cities like Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong and more just a few hours away.

But they’re not the only reasons to consider cross-campus exchange to Vietnam...

Cost of living

Life in Vietnam is affordable and students can take advantage of scholarships and grants to support living and travel costs.

Additionally, RMIT is currently offering $2500 Global Learning Grants for 10 accepted students who take part in exchange to RMIT Vietnam in 2026.

Renting services and furnished apartments are common in Vietnam with a range of guesthouses, houses and apartments catering to all budgets.

As an exchange student at RMIT Vietnam, you don't pay international student tuition fees. You'll continue on the fee or loan arrangement as linked to your enrolment at RMIT Australia.

Plus, exchange students get early access to the timetabling system, so you’ll have the freedom to design your own timetable with first pick of class days and times.

Activities for international students

There are many activities on offer to international students including welcome days, welcome dinners, city tours, cultural immersion activities (such as Vietnamese cooking classes!), language sessions, ceramic workshops and more.
