Higher Education (HE) O Week Events - Semester One

If you are a Higher Education (HE) student, join RMIT Student Life for some fun on-campus entertainment and activities at your Program Induction days during Orientation Week (O Week)!

If you are studying an Associate Degree, Bachelor, Masters, Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, or if you are a HDR student, then come along to enjoy our HE O Week activities held across the Brunswick, Bundoora and City campuses.
 

City campus

Drop In

Visit the Orientation Drop In and How2RMIT Lounge, Monday 26 through to Thursday 29 February from 11am-3pm in the Megaflex near Connect, Building 8. The Drop In will consist of: 

  • Orientation Information booth: get the right info from our friendly staff 
  • Clubs Hub booth: learn more about the all the clubs and societies on offer 
  • Meet Medibank and score some free merchandise, activities change each day from free ice cream to relaxing massages! 
  • Campus Tours
  • Complimentary cookies, music, games and a chill lounge space  

What else is on?

Meet the student support services, in Building 8 and 10 for fun and informative workshops including Wellbeing and Counselling in the Calm Zone, Safer Community near Connect, Library and Jobshop. 

Relax on the Bowen Street decking and take advantage of the $6 daily lunch specials in the Food Court in Building 12. Enjoy live music and roving performers as you explore all the campus has to offer.  
 

Bowen Street Party

Thursday 29 February, 3-6pm, Bowen Street

Get your festival on with biodegradable face glitter or hair and metallic fake tattoos, learn to roller-skate with our trained professional staff or kick back and watch the live performances. 

The street will be a hive of activity with live music and DJ’s, silent disco, roller skating rink, lawn games, sport activities, sponsor give aways, chill out area, cheap food deals and festival vibes! A perfect chance to make friends and soak up the campus atmosphere.

Brunswick campus

Drop In

Visit the Orientation Drop In and Lounge on Wednesday 28 February and Thursday 29 February from 11am-2pm in the Student Lounge in Building 514. The Drop In will consist of: 

  • Orientation Information booth: get the right info from our friendly staff  
  • Meet the student support services, Medibank and Student Life team for fun and informative workshops and stalls 
  • Campus Tours
  • Complimentary coffee and cookies, music, games and a lounge area 

What else is on?

Chill out to an acoustic soloist and be entertained by extravagant Queen on Wednesday 28 February in the Student Lounge and café space.  
 

Bundoora campus

Drop In

Visit the Orientation Drop In and Lounge Monday 26 or Tuesday 27 February from 11am-2pm in Building 202, Megaflex behind Connect. The Drop In will consist of: 

  • Orientation Information booth: get the right info from our friendly staff  
  • Clubs Hub booth: learn more about the all the clubs and societies on offer

  • Meet the student support services, Medibank and Student Life team for fun and informative workshops and stalls 
  • Complimentary coffee and cookies, music, games and a lounge area

What else is on?

Visit Building 204 on Monday 26 or Tuesday 27 February from 11am-2pm for live music and roving performers (Monday only) and fun interactive games on hand so you can connect with your peers and win prizes. 

Campus tours

Get all the tips and tricks to succeed at RMIT from experienced students in an on-campus interactive campus tour!

Tours will be held throughout O Week at the City, Brunswick and Bundoora campuses.

All students who attend a tour will receive a 10% discount at the RMIT Store. T&Cs apply, ask in-store for further details. Available City and Bundoora campus' only.
