Register for a jam-packed day that includes a keynote presentation, morning tea, Q&A industry panel, interactive workshops and free lunch. This event is for students in Vocational Education only.

RMIT Women in STEM (WiS) will be hosting our biggest event of the year: the Women in STEM Conference.

This year's theme is our own twist on National Science Week: Seeds for Change: Nurturing Women Leading in STEM. We're highlighting women who have grown their influence, led change in their industries, and created pathways for others to thrive.

Come along, bring a friend and help celebrate with the WiS community! If you can't join for the whole session, pop in for what you can.

We plan to have industry representatives from Alchemy Construct, AIRAH, Honda and more!

Date, time, location and registration

Date: Wednesday 12 August 2026

Time: 9:30am-1:30pm

Location: Megaflex rooms, Building 8, Level 4, Room 11-13, RMIT City campus

Registrations essential so we can cater accordingly. The Q&A panel will be livestreamed for those who can't make it in person, please register below to receive the livestream link.

This conference is designed as an opportunity for female-identifying and gender diverse students who study VE/TAFE to meet and connect with others in STEM fields, address key concerns and questions that may arise as a woman in the world of STEM and foster a community amongst participants. We want to ensure that our future graduates are prepared and ready for the workforce.
