International Women's Day Film Festival

The Library presents a collection of short films to celebrate women, their experiences, achievements and perspectives.

  • I am black and beautiful
  • Chicken
  • Megan Davis (Kurt Fearnley’s One Plus One)
  • Poppy
  • Night Witches
  • Peach
  • Vote Yes
  • Bad Day

These films feature stories by women that explore a wide range of themes and topics, and are by women of varied backgrounds, cultures, experiences, and interests. Women’s stories from WWII to the present day are covered, and include Aboriginal activists, queer women, black women and those simply fed up with the patriarchy!

Join us to recognise women's ongoing striving for equality, and to celebrate women's achievements and impact on history and society.

All RMIT students and staff are welcome. Bring your friends or colleagues and enjoy the films and popcorn.

Location: Building 80, Level 1, Room 2 (cinema theatre)
