We provide free access to the resources, spaces and services that will help you succeed at university.
1. Study spaces for every style
What’s better than studying in a place full of knowledge? Each of our campus libraries offers a variety of places for you to work, including bookable group study rooms, cosy chairs and sofas, and quiet study areas.
Look around and you’ll find:
- physical collection items (books, periodicals, DVDs, videos and more)
- computers, docking monitors, powered and adjustable desks
- printer/scanner devices and lightboxes
- TV/VCRs
- priority access PCs for users with formatting or assistive technology needs.
Explore your campus library and locate your new favourite study spot ahead of time by taking a virtual tour.
2. Free information resources
Your Library provides free access to millions of learning and research resources to support you at Uni, including many recommended or required readings. Browse our collection using LibrarySearch or check out our Subject Guides for recommended databases and resources specific to your area of study.
The Learning Lab provides foundation skills and study support materials for writing, assessments, referencing, health sciences, physics, chemistry, maths and much more. The perfect place to start is with our University Essentials section.
3. Personalised assessment help
No matter what you’re studying, you can get one-to-one help from an Academic Skills Advisor, Maths and Science Advisor, or Librarian by dropping in at our Study Support Hubs in the Bundoora and City campuses.
Our team can help you with:
- assessment structure and academic writing
- presentation skills
- academic integrity
- study skills, including reading strategies and time management
- using generative AI tools.
4. A peer to guide you
Wish you could talk to a student who has been where you are and succeeded? That is exactly what our Peer Mentoring program offers. When you sign up via Vygo, our team will connect you with a current student who completed your course within the previous 12 months and received a grade of 75% or above.
Peer Mentoring offers you a chance to:
- have a chat about your course in a comfortable, low-pressure environment
- get tips and resources that work
- ask questions without stress
- create simple study goals.
