Associate Professor Foula Kopanidis was an invited panel member for an “Ageing and Housing” round table discussion with the support of Longevity Group Australia to explore the intersection of ageing and housing in Victoria. Her expertise was sought in how to better understand aging and wellbeing in the liveable housing context. The aim of the round table was to bring experts with different perspectives together to discuss the barriers and explore solutions to providing purpose-built housing for older residents. Informed by the research and experience of the participants, the discussion will focus on challenges in the planning process, adoption of Liveable Housing Design Guidelines, and community.
