Best Feet Forward: On Writing Walking

Best Feet Forward: On Writing Walking

This is an open invitation to colleagues, HDRS and friends to join members of RMIT’s research group, the non/fictionLab, for a series of participatory events on writing walking to be delivered through and in dialogue with Bus Projects.

Participants will receive writing prompts and optional reading material ahead of the online ‘walkshops’, within which, collectively we will ask, how does one come to writing walking, or, to walking writing? And what are the various creative, critical and political considerations in walking and writing as they intersect?

Workshops will take place online. Dates are:

Thursday 22 April 6-8pm (led by Brigid Magner & Francesca Rendle-Short)

Saturday 1 May 1-3pm (led by Melody Ellis & Peta Murray)

Sunday 23 May 2-4:30pm (led by Sholto Buck & Oliver Shaw)

and participants may join one or more.

Check out the full program featuring artists Sandra Bridie and Alice Cummins. Come and write walking with us and to see what emerges!

Words and images supplied by Melody Ellis and collaborating walkers.
