SDG 15 - Seminar Series

The European Union Centre at RMIT continues its 2020 program with a seminar exploring the Sustainable Development Goal 15: Life on Land.

Sustainable Development Goal 15: Life on Land aims to 'protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss'.

This seminar will explore the SDG 15 and it will be accompanied by a Policy Brief, further exploring the ideas and issues raised during the discussion. Panellists include:

  • Dr Sally Box Assistant Secretary, (Federal) Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment, Australian Government’s Threatened Species Commissioner
  • Professor Sarah Bekessy ARC Future Fellow and Leader, Interdisciplinary Conservation Science Research Group, School of Global, Urban and Social Studies RMIT University
  • Matt Ruchel Executive Director, Victorian National Parks Associations
