Policy and planning

On this page you’ll find links to key documents that underpin our approach to health, safety and wellbeing.

There are many factors that need to come together to create a safe work and study environment. These include:

  • the commitment of everyone in the organisation to safety
  • a well-structured health, safety and wellbeing management system – known at RMIT as the Global Safety Model
  • clear objectives and targets that are measured, monitored and reported on
  • a comprehensive understanding of legal and other obligations
  • a record-keeping system that ensures documentation can be easily located and kept up to date.
