CIB World Building Congress 2022: Building Our Future (#WBC2022)

WBC2022 will focus the building community's attention on making our world a better place to live. We hope you'll join us! Don't miss sessions focussing on the research of our global members, thematic keynotes, industry sessions, and feature presentations on state-of-the art infrastructure and building projects currently under construction around Melbourne.

The CIB (International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction) is a global network of researchers and industry professionals, working together to improve building processes and enhance the performance of the built environment.  From 27-30 June 2022, RMIT is hosting the next CIB World Building Congress: Building our future: Informing practice to enhance the lives of current and future generations #WBC2022

WBC2022 themes will include:

  • Climate change and environmental sustainability, including construction and demolition waste and sustainable supply chains;
  • Addressing poverty and inequality, especially through access to appropriate social and affordable housing;
  • Digital Construction/Construction 4.0;
  • Smart built environment/smart cities/smart communities including transport networks;
  • Industrialised/offsite construction/pre-assembly;
