Apply for OER grant up to $50,000

The Libraries of the Australian Technology Network of Universities (LATN) are offering grants to support the development and adoption of open educational resources.

Grants of up to $50,000 will assist academic and professional staff to transition existing teaching resources and textbooks to openly accessible formats, as well as creating new OER that enhance student learning and reduce the cost of course materials.

Committing to OER supports equitable access to learning materials, contributing to a more sustainable and inclusive higher education environment. RMIT University Library encourages educators to apply.

Applications close: Sunday 6 September 2026

Eligibility

Applications are open to academic and professional staff from LATN member universities (RMIT University is a member).

Projects may include:

adapting or transforming existing textbooks and educational resources into OER
developing new open educational resources aligned with course and program curricula
collaborative initiatives involving multiple institutions, disciplines or departments.

Cross-institutional partnerships and interdisciplinary approaches are strongly encouraged.
