How to easily access Library resources – from anywhere

Did you know you can access Library resources directly from your online search engine or mobile device?

There are several third-party browser extensions, plugins and apps that can simplify your research by sharing resources in the RMIT University Library Collection – without having to log in to your Library account. We’re sharing some of our favourite research tools below.

Best for students: LibKey Nomad

Get access to open and Library-subscribed resources, regardless of where you’re searching from. This extension is available on most browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge. However, note that it’s only available for desktop and laptop browsers – it’s not compatible with mobile or tablet.

Best for researchers: EndNote Click

When searching through academic databases and websites such as PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus or Google Scholar, use the EndNote Click browser plugin to bypass paywalls and logins for resources the Library subscribes to. You’ll get access to full-text PDFs and academic articles and be able to export directly to EndNote Desktop, EndNote Online or another reference manager.
