RMIT Online's Product and Workforce Development Director Julian Stevenson said the partnership presents an exciting opportunity for RMIT and the Australia-UK Chamber of Commerce to meet the needs of businesses looking to upskill and reskill their workforce along with professionals looking supercharge their performance.
"Our collaboration with the Chamber – the platform for industry to access and influence Australian-UK business intelligence, audiences and trade opportunities – is a positive step forward for both RMIT Online and the region," he said.
The Australia-UK Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Director Richard Basil-Jones said the new collaboration aligns with the chamber’s mission to ‘connect its members and partners to decision-makers, smart ideas and fresh opportunities’.
"Through our partnership with RMIT Online, we're empowering professionals with the latest skills and knowledge needed for the jobs of the future," he said.
"RMIT Online's innovative and flexible education model is perfectly positioned to meet the urgent workforce reskilling and upskilling needs.”
The new partnership is an extension of a longstanding relationship between the two institutions, driven by RMIT’s European innovation hub, RMIT Europe.
RMIT Europe Executive Director Marta Fernandez said what RMIT brings and shares with the communities it serves is one of the three strategic directions articulated in the University’s strategy – Knowledge with Action: RMIT’s Strategy to 2031.
"We see it as a critical responsibility to serve the community by working with partners such as the Australia-UK Chamber of Commerce to define capability needs and pressures in sectors facing high demand or disruption," she said.
"Our solutions are focused on future industry needs and supporting fulfilling, productive career pathways and skill development for a diverse range of workers and learners."
Courses through the RMIT and Australia-UK Chamber of Commerce partnership are open for enrolment.
