She joins RMIT from KPMG Australia where she has consulted across the education sector for many years. She has also previously worked at Monash University in a range of roles. Michelle will lead RMIT’s advancement, industry engagement, corporate affairs, marketing, student recruitment, digital experience and marketing intelligence teams. Michelle will commence with RMIT early in the new year.

Professor Catherine Itsiopoulos has been appointed as RMIT’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor STEM College and Vice-President. Catherine has been acting in an interim capacity in this role since November 2024.
