New report: Where’s the beef? An evaluation of meat company modern slavery statements over two years.

The 'Where's the Beef' report assesses the responses of Australia's meat sector to Australia's Modern Slavery Act.

While there has been a big focus on modern slavery in #horticultural work in Australia, there has been far less focus on the meat industry. Yet similar working conditions prevail, driven by temporary work visas, recruitment from the Pacific Islands and Asia, complex labour hire arrangements, and isolation in rural abattoirs.
