Trump’s senior adviser for strategy, Jason Miller, has told NBC's Meet the Press that viewers can plan on hearing the President ‘speaking at various parts through each of the nights’ at the Republican National Convention (RNC), but wouldn’t elaborate on whether that meant live remarks, speeches or pre-recorded video segments.

“Trump is hoping for a convention that looks vastly different from the all-digital event the Democrats have staged, including an emphasis on live programming.

“The convention ordered up by the President is expected to contain moments that are designed both to surprise viewers and trigger outrage from Trump's opponents.

“Details for the week remain fluid with Trump's aides reaching out to a long slate of Americans whose personal stories they believe will resonate with voters.

“The bigger picture is that Trump enters the RNC in an unusual position for an incumbent: trailing. And trailing by a lot.”
