The Women Researchers’ Network (WRN) was established in 2013 to enable RMIT female academic staff and research fellows at all career stages to connect with each other, share opportunities, access resources and participate fully in positive, active professional development.
RMIT is committed to supporting gender equity, through the work of the WRN which aims to:
- advocate for change in gender equity policy, practice and behaviour
- foster a flourishing and supportive environment for women researchers
- connect the University to a wider community of practice in gender equity
The WRN provides opportunities to promote gender equality within the RMIT community and to the wider public; to identify barriers to women researchers’ promotion, representation and retention at RMIT; to facilitate networking, mentoring and support, and to develop innovative and outcome-focused strategies for women researchers’ careers.
The Women Researchers’ Network is open to all RMIT academic and research staff, and HDR students. Click here to join now.
