Ride to uni, grab a FREE coffee and treat to celebrate Ride2Uni Day on Wednesday 14 October.

RMIT students and staff are invited to take part in Ride2Uni Day, a national initiative run by Bicycle Network that encourages people to add cycling to their daily commute. Whether you're a regular rider or it's your first time riding to uni, join us to experience the health, financial and environmental benefits of active travel. 

Free coffee and treats are available between 8am and 10am at our City, Brunswick and Bundoora campuses. 

How to participate

  • Step 1 – Find your ride: Borrow a bike, dust off an old one or pick up a second-hand bargain.
  • Step 2 – Plan your ride: If you’re riding to campus for the first time, plan your route using the cycling option in Google Maps or check out the Bicycle Network guide on how to plan a bike route. Don’t forget to register your ride, and why not make it fun by riding with a friend, classmate or colleague? 
  • Step 3 – Enjoy your ride: Pack your essentials, including your reusable coffee cup, a lock and water bottle, dress for the weather, and get pedalling. It's that simple.
  • Step 4 – Enjoy your treat: Visit one of the locations below between 8am and 10am. Simply show your bike helmet to redeem your free coffee and treat. No rainchecks.

Campus facilities

RMIT supports cycling with secure bike parking, showers, lockers and a community cycling club. Students and staff can access secure bike parking facilities using their RMIT security access card.
