Are you ready to expand your repertoire of techniques to create high-quality and artistic photographic images? Throughout 6 weeks you will explore essential methods for adjusting and controlling colour and tonal information within images, with a focus on detail and quality. Through a heightened attention to colour management, monitor calibration and use of the RAW file format, learn how to take your images to a new level of control and expression.

You must have completed Adobe Photoshop for Photography — Level 1 or equivalent experience.

Materials supplied

All relevant course notes are supplied with comprehensive instructions and exercises. Mac computers and and film scanner are provided for class exercises and on campus use.

    Course Presenter - Joseph Brabet

    Joseph Brabet brings his photography expertise and design know-how to every PhotoShop class. With a background in architecture and many years’ experience in graphic design before becoming a professional photographer, Joseph knows color and composition. He has worked as a photographer, designer and educator in Australia, Japan, Singapore, France, Germany and Switzerland.


    On completion of this course, students will have developed a range of practical techniques used in Photoshop to enhance images and produce high quality artistic photographic images. Students will also produce a small body of work ready for folio presentation or display.

    Upon finishing the course you will receive a RMIT Certificate of Completion. You can use this as a record to demonstrate the outcomes covered in the course.
