This online course is aimed at those who have not been involved in social media from a business perspective. It serves as a foundation to what a business requires in order to use social media effectively and efficiently.

All online modules will be provided via the university wide learning platform CANVAS.

Materials to bring

You will need a computer or laptop with wifi access. You may also require pen and paper for note taking.

Participants will work at their own pace through the online course content and exercises. Participants can move from module to module at a pace that suits them.


On completion of this online course, you will have the knowledge to understand and implement a Social Media Strategy Document that focuses on your continuing business strategy and use of social media. You will have an understanding of the importance of an integrated social media plan, key metrics, and honing of your business communications.
