Culture Film Series: Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019)

Our new film series: The Best Films You've Never Seen, will screen some of the 'new' classics from the BFI's 'The Greatest Films of All Time', featuring films you might never had a chance to see on the big screen (or you're excited to rewatch!)

Once a decade the BFI’s Sight and Sound magazine asks critics to select the best films ever made, and has been uniting global film critics, programmers, curators, archivists, and academics since 1952.

RMIT’s own Adrian Danks and Alexia Kannas contributed to the list, and throughout the year we’ll be screening some of the films that have made the top 100 for the first time, starting with Spirited Away (2001) and Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019) at The Capitol on Tuesday 21 February.
