2026 Read and Publish Agreements now available

The Library is pleased to announce that the 2026 Read and Publish agreements have been finalised.

These agreements allow RMIT researchers and students to publish open access in a wide range of journals without paying article processing charges (APCs).

This means you can make your research openly accessible at no cost, increasing its visibility and helping showcase the excellent research being undertaken across the University.

Agreements are in place with major publishers including Wiley, Elsevier, Springer Nature, Emerald and Taylor & Francis, among others. Some journals also offer APC discounts as part of these agreements.

In 2025, RMIT authors published 1013 articles under these agreements, saving the research community more than $5.5m in publishing fees.

You can browse the full list of included journals and access further details via the Library’s Read and Publish page.

For any questions about Open Access publishing, or to check if a journal you’re targeting is covered, contact the Library’s Research Services team.
