Cross-campus enrolment guide – Inbound students

For students at RMIT Vietnam who have been approved to undertake study at RMIT Melbourne for one or two semesters.

This page guides you through the steps to complete your enrolment and get ready for your studies at RMIT Melbourne.

Before you enrol for cross-campus studies in Melbourne, you must:

  • Be active in a program at RMIT Vietnam
  • Have applied for and been accepted for cross-campus studies through Global Learning's RMIT Application Portal. For eligibility criteria and application process, see Cross-campus to RMIT Melbourne
  • Have paid all the associated fees.
  • Have received your offer letter.

Enrol in courses you’ll be undertaking during your cross-campus study in Melbourne via Enrolment Online by following steps in the Higher education enrolment guide – International students

Note: Your email domain will stay the same even while you study in Melbourne. So, please continue using your current email (e.g. s1234567@rmit.edu.vn) to log in.

Note: as part of the enrolment process, you will need to provide an Australian mailing address. If you haven’t found any accommodation in Melbourne yet, please use the following address as your mailing address:  RMIT, 124 La Trobe Street, Melbourne VIC 3000.

Important information for your enrolment 

  • Use ‘Class search’ to search and add classes stated in your course request outcome

  • As part of your visa conditions, you must be enrolled in 48 credit points per semester unless approval has been given for 36 credit points
  • Seek approval to enrol in courses not listed in your Study Plan. Otherwise,  you may not receive credit which will delay your completion date of your program. 

Update your contact details

It’s important that the contact details on your student record are up to date. Once you’ve found permanent accommodation in Melbourne, update your address by following the instructions to Update your personal details.

To extend or cancel your cross-campus studies

If you wish to extend or cancel your cross-campus studies, contact the Global Learning Office through Student Connect.

Update your contact details

Once you’ve completed your cross-campus study and returned to your home country, change your mailing address back to your Vietnam residence by following the instructions to Update your personal details.

Transcripts

Your academic transcript will show a note stating that you’ve completed a mobility activity at RMIT Melbourne, together with grades for courses you’ve completed in Melbourne which will count towards your GPA.
