Have ideas on how to upgrade Franklin and Cardigan Street? Join the student co-design challenge.

What if Cardigan and Franklin Street were designed for people, not traffic?

Join an interdisciplinary challenge to compete for a share of $2,500 in prizes and explore how these key spaces could become more connected, inclusive and vibrant places for learning, creativity, collaboration and community.

Working alongside students from different disciplines, you'll tackle a real-world challenge, learn from RMIT experts and industry partners, and develop ideas that could help shape the future of the precinct. You'll also explore how Indigenous Knowledge can inform more regenerative and inclusive public spaces.

Whether you study design, business, engineering, technology, social sciences, health, education or something else, we are looking for curious thinkers who want to make a difference.

Places in the program are limited to 30 students. Submit your expression of interest by 5pm Thursday 27 August.
