Alec Robinson is an Art, Design and Architecture teacher for the Foundation Studies program based in Melbourne, Australia. He has taught Art and Design across all ages in a range of education settings, bringing a wealth of experience to the Foundation Studies program. Alec enjoys teaching the next generation of artists and designers, helping them explore and navigate their personal style. He has a strong belief with an inclusive space, so that all students can thrive and achieve their projected creative outcomes. When not teaching, Alec produces wheel thrown and hand built ceramics for businesses, he also enjoys painting large abstractions. His traditional and contemporary interests help inform the evolving classroom and support the needs of all learners.

Below is the summary of the class that will be delivered:

Creative thinking and the design process

In this workshop students will be introduced to the creative process and approaches to generating ideas for art and design. An interactive activity will give students the chance to explore their creativity by using techniques and methods commonly used by artists and designers in the early stages of the design process. Students will produce a piece of design/art work that they can digitally take with them at the end of the session.
