Note: this course is open only to University/RTO Cisco Academic teaching staff. You will be required to provide evidence to confirm your booking. 

The first course in the CCNA curriculum introduces the architectures, models, protocols, and networking elements that connect users, devices, applications and data through the Internet and across modern computer networks - including IP addressing and Ethernet fundamentals. By the end of the course, students can build simple local area networks (LAN) that integrate IP addressing schemes, foundational network security, and perform basic configurations for routers and switches.

Course content

CCNA Routing & Switching provides an integrated and comprehensive coverage of networking topics. It provides opportunities for hands-on practical experience and career skills development.

Delivery options

Self-paced online

This option allows participants to work through the course online at their own pace over the course of eight weeks. An evening one-hour check-in session with a trainer is available each week. This option is suited to participants located outside Metropolitan Melbourne, and those who prefer a more flexible and independent learning style.

You will receive a short course tax invoice email when your booking's finalised. You will then receive a course confirmation email, with additional course details, approximately one week prior to course commencement.

Prerequisites

This course is open only to University/RTO Cisco Academic teaching staff. You will be required to provide evidence of this upon booking.

Participants should have a basic understanding of using Windows-based computers. There are no formal pre-requisites for CCNA certification, Basic networking knowledge, basic IP addressing and understanding of network fundamentals are recommended.
