Matrix Re-loaded: On-Site 02 with Xanthe Dobbie

The future is now...but for how long?

Art collage AI Avatar Xanthe Dobbie

In an exploration of their expansive practice, Xanthe Dobbie re-spawns cyberfeminism to bring you On-Site: Matrix Re-loaded.

As part of their ongoing research, Dobbie explores historical and contemporary cyberfeminism through intersections of art, technology, and pop culture. Matrix Re-loaded questions the now and envisions new possibilities— the future of the digital age. In the largest display of Dobbie's work to date, shown alongside revitalised digital artworks and artifacts from the '90s, this exhibition expands on and interrogates the narratives we tell using and surrounding technology.

On-Site: Matrix Re-loaded includes works by Xanthe Dobbie, Linda Dement,VNS Matrix and Runway Journal.

The exhibition is open from Tuesday to Friday, with the artist onsite to conduct workshops on Wednesdays.

'On-Site' is an engagement-focused solo exhibition series for an RMIT PhD candidate to explore their practice with our broader communities.
